Louis Poulsen is an international design company within lighting. The company was founded in Copenhagen in 1874 and has over time built a strong tradition of designing and developing lighting.

Louis Poulsen’s design philosophy is based on shaping light and creating lighting that creates an atmosphere for people and architecture. Rooted in the Danish design tradition, the company’s design is based on the principle that form follows function.

Through collaborations with architects and designers such as Poul Henningsen, Arne Jacobsen, Verner Panton and Vilhelm Lauritzen, Louis Poulsen has created a number of iconic lamps. Among the company’s well-known product families are the PH series, the Artichoke, Panthella and the AJ lamps.

Louis Poulsen continues to build on its design heritage through new collaborations and products focusing on light, form and function as well as quality, materials and craftsmanship. Today, the company has a global presence within both architectural and decorative lighting.
