Tivoli, also known as Tivoli Gardens, is a world-famous amusement park located in the heart of Copenhagen. It was opened by Georg Carstensen in 1843, inspired by parks abroad, and the amusement park was an instant success.

The park has maintained its charm over the years and today appeals to a broad audience. Tivoli is the most visited attraction in Denmark, and celebrated its 180th anniversary in 2023. Throughout its history, the park has adapted its offerings, rides and aesthetics without compromising its unique atmosphere. This way, Tivoli has manage to remain relevant for more than 180 years, even on an international level. For instance, Walt Disney drew inspiration from Tivoli when he laid the foundation for Disneyland in California. Tivoli attracts tourists from all over the world, and of the park’s 4 million annual visitors, approximately 30% are tourists.
