Tivoli A/S

Tivoli, also known as Tivoli Gardens, is a world-famous amusement park in the heart of Copenhagen. Georg Carstensen opened Tivoli in 1843, based on inspiration from abroad, and the amusement park was an instant success.

Having maintained its charm, Tivoli today appeals to a broad audience. It is the most visited attraction in Denmark, and in 2023 it celebrates its 180-year anniversary. Throughout its history, Tivoli has adjusted its offering, rides and aesthetics, but never compromised on its unique atmosphere. This way, it has remained relevant for more than 180 years – also in an international perspective. For instance, Walt Disney was inspired by Tivoli when he laid the foundation for Disneyland in California. Tivoli attracts tourists from all over the world, and some 30% of its 4 m annual visitors are tourists.
